No future for app stores?
In the debate about which technologic system will be interesting to develop for, Google takes a little bit schizoid position. In an interview, Vic Gundotra, Google’s engineering vice president, says that the web had already won, because smart phones users would get their information and entertainment from browsers in future. “What we clearly see happening is a move to incredibly powerful browsers“, he said. But Google also launched a new store for its mobile OS Android (called Android Market), and search to make money on the native app concept. So what is the aim to aboard a market on two differents sides?
We know that if the web apps supplants the native app’s system, Latitude Sedona will not stay static, because travel apps have to be available all time, even offline. When the web apps will be avaible offline too, maybe the concurrence should be interesting. We are aware of that situation.
